It is not for nothing that the Theatre 68 Haunted House made it onto our list of 2012 Halloween Recommendations: The Best Haunted House Events in Los Angeles. Although Theatre 68’s interactive, theatrical approach to Halloween has been to some extent usurped by Delusion: Presented by Haunted Play, the 68 Cent Crew continue to delivery [...]
Last night, Hollywood Gothique trekked out to two of its favorite Halloween treats: the Boney Island Yard Haunt in Sherman Oaks and the Theatre 68 Haunted House in Hollywood. The two attractions could not be farther apart on the spectrum: Boney Island is an amateur yard haunt that appeals to kids of all ages with [...]
Theatre 68, The Backwoods Maze, Wicked Lit, and Heritage Haunt launch their Halloween events this weekend.

Drum roll, please – or should that be a funeral dirge? Whatever soundtrack you choose to play in your mind or on your computer while reading this, it is time to bestow our annual accolades for the Best Los Angeles Halloween Events. As with last year, I will dispense with rigid categories in favor of [...]
We know you’re out there, you prevaricators and procrastinators, wasting the precious days of October until Halloween Night rolls around, when suddenly you realize: This is it, the last chance to visit this year’s Halloween Theme Park Attractions, Halloween Haunted Houses & Hayrides, Halloween Yard Haunts, Community Halloween Haunts, Halloween Haunts for Children, Halloween Parties [...]

Hours: 8-11pm weeknights & Sundays; 8pm-midnight on Fridays & Saturdays
Theatre 68 doesn’t have the expanse of other Halloween haunts in Los Angeles, but it offers something distinctive that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere: a more personal, intimate variety of horror, with audience and characters engaged up close and personal.
The Theatre 68 Haunted House opened its doors last week. This has been one of our favorite Halloween events in Los Angeles since we discovered it a few years ago. We have not had a chance yet to check out this year’s version, but if it matches what we have seen in the past, it [...]

Description: The Theatre 68 Haunted House returns for Halloween 2011, and this year they expand their schedule to haunt the final 18 days of October.
To my surprise, looking over last year’s posts, I find no 2009 edition of Hollywood Gothique’s annual Halloween Haunt Awards. Although memories fails me here, I believe this decision was based upon the fact that any post-Halloween round-up of events and attractions in Los Angeles would have been somewhat redundant with my “Must See Halloween [...]
It’s the final weekend; time is running out! You have paused and prevaricated, allowing the October days to slip through your fingers, and now you are in a last-minute flurry, trying to see as much as you can before midnight of November 1 arrives, bringing Halloween to a conclusion. In this limited two-day window of Saturday and Sunday, what are the absolutely essentail Halloween haunts that you must see in 2010? Read on to find out…
Dates: October 22 through 31
Location: 5419 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood
The Theatre 68 Haunted House is back in business, doing what it does so well: scaring hapless victims foolhardy enough to wander into the seemingly innocuous Hollywood venue. The 2010 version of the annual Halloween event retains the general approach and several specific vignettes from previous years, but scenes and settings have been rearranged, so that even if you remember what to expect, you will not know quite when to expect it. Now that we are in the waning days of October, when the major Halloween attractions have been operating for weeks, and their actors are perhaps losing some of their spontaneity and enthusiasm, it is an enormous pleasure to encounter a professional haunt operating at full intensity for the last ten days of the month. If you feel your nerves have been deadened by all the frights you have endured thus far, Theatre 68’s Haunted House will jolt them back to life.
