So if you feel yourself going through withdrawal pains, consider the following options. (Be careful: some of [...]
This installment of the annual Halloween Haunt Odyssey is a bit of a geographical jumble, exploring the paranormal activities lurking inside two amateur Halloween events separated by miles of freeways. Divergent in location they may be, but Pumkin Jack’s Haunted House and Rotten Apple 907’s Wilsley Manor share certain salient traits: both of them are [...]

This October, Rotten Apple 907 goes back to basic with a haunted house theme. The back story is that the Willsey Manor was was inherited by brothers William and Ramsley Thompson in the late 1800; unfortunately, one of the brothers suffered from homicidal tendencies, and his victims still roam the halls of the manor, where you will encounter them – if you dare.

Hollywood Gothique’s 2010’s Halloween Haunt Odyssey – an annual tour of amateur yard haunts – begins in Burbank, which seems to have become the bleeding, beating heart of Halloween in the San Fernando valley. Within an easily drivable distance are no less than four worthwhile haunts, with several other decorated yards also in the area: Spider-Lights, the Backwoods Maze, Nightmare Junction, and Rotten Apple 907’s Nightmare at the Museum. Click through for details.
To my surprise, looking over last year’s posts, I find no 2009 edition of Hollywood Gothique’s annual Halloween Haunt Awards. Although memories fails me here, I believe this decision was based upon the fact that any post-Halloween round-up of events and attractions in Los Angeles would have been somewhat redundant with my “Must See Halloween [...]
