2012 Halloween Screening: The Nightmare Before Christmas in 4-D

Walt Disney Pictures continues its annual tradition of screening Tim Burton’s stop-motion Christmas classic at El Capitan Theatre for Halloween. This time, El Capitan proclaims that THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS will be presented in 3-D: the excellent 3-D conversion will be enhanced with live, in-theatre effects such as fog and snow.

Walt Disney Pictures releases this stop-motion family-friendly horror-fantasy from Tim Burton, shot in 3-D and glorious black-and-white (just like the classic Universal Horror Films it references). Based on Burton’s 1984 live-action short subject, FRANKENWEENIE tells the story of a young boy who brings his beloved pet Sparky back to life after a car accident. When the neighbors find out, they fear that the resurrected pooch is a zombie dog from hell. However, it turns out there may be scarier creatures afoot than Sparky…. Release date: October 5, 2012.
