Beyond the Grave Tours 2012
The Homestead Museum, which offers historical tours throughout the year, resurrects its Halloween presentation, devoted to illustrating how American attitudes toward death changed dramatically from the 1840s through the 1920s. This tour gives an overview of these changes as experienced by the two families and includes a visit to El Campo Santo (the private cemetery established by the Workman family in the 1850s) with a living history character from the past.
