2011 Fears Gate Hours: 7-10pm lights off tours on weeknights; 7pm-midnight lights off tours on Fridays; noon-4pm lights on tours and 6pm-midnight lights off tours on Saturdays; noon-4pm lights on tours and 6-10pm lights off tours on Sundays.
2011 Fears Gate Tickets: $10 per person for the haunted house; $5 per corpse for the coffin ride, $9 for double occupancy.
Description: The Forbidden Haunt, which made its debut in 2010 with Haunted Carnevil in Sherman Oaks, relocated to Oxnard and changed its name to Fears Gate for 2011. Judging from the new website, much of the old Halloween haunt will remain intact, including our favorite feature: the double-wide coffin ride, which allows you and your significant other to experience your final trip, from funeral home to cemetery to six feet under…
On weekends, Fears Gate offers afternoon lights-on tours for children too young or timid for the nighttime frights.
