SPIDERS 3DLocation: Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14, 1000 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA

Description: The 3D Film Festival returns for a fifth year, this time at a new location, the Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14. Although not specifically geared to Fantasy Films, Mystery Movies, Sci-Fi Cinema & Halloween Horror, the festival mixes in a fair share of genre titles that should be horror fans happy while waiting for the Halloween season to begin.

The opening night of 3DFF kicks off on Thursday with a screening of SPIDERS 3D at 10pm, followed by a midnight screening of DREDD 3D. DREDD requires a separate admission; a festival pass will not suffice.

Friday features a double bill of late-night horror: PIRANHA 3DD at 10pm; then at midnight, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: RE-ANIMATION, starring Jeffrey Combs (of RE-ANIMATOR, get it?).

Saturday morning and afternoon will be filled with family-friendly 3D fantasy movies, such as ICE AGE 4: CONTINENTAL DRIFT and MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED. Some other high-profile titles have yet to be confirmed, but don’t be surprised if a high-flying web-slinger shows up, not to mention a recent 3D conversion from a galaxy far, far away.

ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT CHEERLEADERThe fest wraps up with a pair of premieres on Saturday. At 4:30 we get WAR OF THE WORLDS: GOLIATH, an anime-style science fiction opus from executive producer Kevin Eastman (TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES). Then at 10:30pm, producers Roger Corman and Julie Corman show up for the premiere of ATTACK OF THE 50-FOOT CHEERLEADER. Christopher Crescitelli and Thomas Jane will host a salute to the husband-and-wife producer team.

The 3D Film & Music Festival includes numerous other events, including several music documentaries, many of which will take place at other locations, such as the JW Marriott Los Angeles, Club Nokia, The Ritz-Carlton, The Conga Room, and The Grammy Museum.
