Burn, Witch, Burn

Location: Egyptian Theatre – 6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA

Description: Following up on the Charles Beaumont documentary screening at 3pm, the American Cinematheque presents a pair of films scripted by Beaumont. BURN, WITCH, BURN is an excellent occult thriller, based on the Fritz Leiber novel CONJURE WIFE; Beaumont collaborated on the adaptation with Richard Matheson. Also on the bill is the non-genre but quite excellent THE INTRUDCER, which Beaumont adapted from his own novel for producer-director Roger Corman. (NOTE: The film was known as NIGHT OF THE EAGLE in England, deliberately similar to the 1957 classic NIGHT OF THE DEMON.)

Date: March 27 at 7:30pm
