Screamfest 2009 in Hollywood

ScreamfestThe 2009 Screamfest – Hollywood’s longest-running horror film festival – is scheduled from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 25. Films include MACABRE, VAMPIRE GIRL VS FRANKENSTEIN GIRL, DAMNED BY DAWN, WRONG TURN 3: LEFT FOR DEAD (free screening), THE REVENANT, HOUSE OF THE DEVIL (centerpiece film), FORGET ME NOT (world premiere), CABIN FEVER 2, and THE FOURTH KIND, which closes the festival screenings on the 24th. There are also five short film programs, including two focusing on student films. The clsoing night awards dinner takes place on Sunday, October 25.

You can buy tickets to individual films or a full festival pass (for $300) that gets you into everything.

Screamfest usually does a good job of finding new films. Two years ago they screened the haunting PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, which recently went into limited release around the country.
