Disneyland Resort Halloween Time update: Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy

halloween timeThe Disneyland Resort website has updated its page for their annual Halloween Time event, which takes place this year from September 25 through November 1. Except for the addition of a night-time fireworks display (previously mentioned here), the only new item on the menu is the “brand new” Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy – which promises a “terrifying transformation” of the familiar ride that will “throttle [you] through the outer reaches of an uncannily creepy cosmos at breakneck speeds.”

Other than that, the only “news” is that ticket prices have gone up. There are several discount packages available, but they consist mostly of trying to get you to purchase multi-day, multi-park deals for even larger sums of money. That Halloween attractions are divided between the resorts two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disneyland California Adventure. A 1-Day Park-Hopper ticket gets you into both at a price of $87 for chidren 3-9 and $97 for those 10 and older (children under three are free).

If you are interested only in a one-day visit to Disneyland Park to see the Haunted Mansion dressed up like THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, the cost is $62 for children 3-9 and $72 for those over 10.

On select nights in October, there is also a Mickey’s Treat-or-Treat Party in Disney’s California Adventure park, where little ghosts and goblins can join their favorite Disney characters for Halloween-style fun. Your children can go trick-or-treating ride the usual attractions, collect candy, enjoy live music, and play games. Guests, including adults, are encouraged to wear costumes, but they must conform to Disney’s costume code: child friendly, non-violent, eyes visible, no sharpt objects or props that could be mistaken for real weapons.

The Trick-or-Treat Party requires a separate ticket. Price is $32 in advance; $39 on October 2, 8-9, 15-16, 21-23, 28-29; $42 on October 30-31. No charge for children under 2. You may get more information and purchase online at the Mickey’s Trick-or-Treat Party page, or call 714-781-4400.
