9th Annual Shriekfest at Raleigh Studios

Shriekfest 2009The 9th annual Shriekfest, the Los Angeles International Horror-Thriller-SciFi-Fantasy Film Festival and Screenplay Competition, offers another showcase for established and up-and-coming filmmakers and writers this October. Running from Thursday through Sunday, October 1 through 4, Shriekfest’s 2009 lineup includes such familiar faces as Jeffry Combs in DARK HOUSE, Ving Rhames in EVIL ANGEL, Dameon Clarke and Matthew Gray Gubler (WITHOUT A TRACE) in HOW TO BE A SERIAL KILLER, Dean Cain in MANEATER, “John Carpenter, George A. Romero, Joe Dante, and Roger Corman in NIGHTMARES IN RED, WHITE, AND BLUE, Billy Zane in SURVIVING EVIL, and Tiffany Shepis in THIRSTY.
 
Forty films and 39 screenplays are in competition.  Awards will be selected in such categories as Best Feature Horror Film, Best Short Subject, and Best Under 18 film and screenplay.

Steve Biodrowski owns and operates Hollywood Gothique.
