Nevermore – An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe

NevermoreStar Jeffrey Combs, writer Dennis Paoli, and director Stuart Gordon – the men behind the classic horror film H.P. Lovecraft’s REANIMATOR – reteam to present this one-man play – subtitled “Prose, Poetry, and Perversion – inspired by the author of “The Pit and the Pendulum,” “The Raven,” and “The Black Cat.” Previously, Combs, Paoli, and Gordon adapted the latter story into one of the better episodes of Showtime’s MASTERS OF HORROR series – with Combs cast as Poe. Gordon directed stage productions before turning to movies, so he should know what he is doing; overall, this project sounds like a dream come true for Los Angeles-area fans of Gothic literature.

Starting with a preview on July 10, performances run on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8:00pm. Final performance on Sunday, August 2.

Tickets for the first two performances (Friday and Saturday, July 10 & 11) are $5.00. Remaining performances are $10.00.

Location: Steve Allen Theater at the Center For Inquiry, West – 4773 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027 (323) 666-4268
