The Haunted Castle

The CineFamily presnets a screening of the 1921 silent film by F. W. Murnau (NOSFERATU), featuring a live score performed by Manuel Göttsching. From the Cinefamily website: “Murnau’s Gothic psychodrama concerns an aristocrat whose haunting party is disrupted by the spooky presence of an uninvited Count with a murderous legend that precedes him. As his dark aura causes havoc amongst the guests, Murnau takes the viewer on a journey through the group’s fractured collective psyche, using shadowy expressionist techniques and complex flashbacks to create a lulling, mesmeric state.”
