My Bloody Valentine Film Fest

This first-time film festival, co-sponsored by Rue Morgue magazine, will be devoted to romantic horror films. Events include a Robert Quarry (Count Yorga) tribute, a SLITHER Q&A panel, a TROMEO AND JULIET cast reunion, a makeup effects panel headed by Vincent Guastini, and a Masters of Horror filmmakers panel. Guests include Adam Green (Hatchet), James Gunn (Slither), and Tim Sullivan (Driftwood). This all sounds like bloody good fun, but I’m not sure that any of it is particularly romantic; fortunately, more guests and events are due to be announced, so perhaps they will tip the balance in the direction of Valentine’s Day.
