Even More Halloween News & Notes

The Canadian Press notes that old, abandoned prisons make the perfect setting for a Halloween haunt. Someone did something similar a few years ago at the jail in downtown Los Angeles, and the Altadena Sheriff’s Station had an annual “Haunted Jail,” although it appears not to be operating this year.

The Wall Street Journal offers eight tips for a healthier Halloween. My first tip is that a holiday cannot be or “healthier” because to be “healthy” in the first place you need to be alive. What they really mean is a “more healthful” Halloween – that is, one that has good health benefits for you, the consumer.
