2 Horror Film Festivals on the way

I mentioned the Hollywood Horror Film Festival last week, so it seems only fair to mention that two other long-running festivals will also be taking place in Hollywood during the Halloween season. None of these fests has posted a list of titles yet, but here are their dates and locations, so that you can plan your schedule accordingly.

Title: Shriekfest
Location: Raleigh Studios – 5300 Melrose in Hollywood, CA

Description: This festival of horror from upcoming and independent filmmakers will be feature films, short subjects, and a screenwriting contest, with the winners announced on the final day of the fest.
Date: October 2 through 5

Title: Screamfest
Location: Grauman’s Mann Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood, CA (310) 358-3273
Website: www.screamfestla.com
Description: This excellent Hollywood horror film festival bills itself as “discovering the new blood of horror and honoring the old masters.”
Date: October 10 through 19
