Party on St. Patty’s with the Rocketz

The Rocketz – joined by members of Moonlight Cruisers – will be performing live on St. Patrick’s Day at Spike’s in the suburb of Rosemead. In case I haven’t mentioned it lately, the Rocketz a are a cool punk-a-billy band that gave a killer performance at last years Knott’s Scary Farm, blasting out songs like “Die, Zombie, Die!” (which you can see toward the end of the video clip below, starting at 6:35.)For this event, they claim they will work a few “Celtic tunes” into their set.

Also on stage will be a burlesque show by “La Cholita,” who is billed as “Miss Viva Las Vegas 2007.” Other inducements to attend include a full bar, green beer on tap, a live DJ, and six pool tables.

There is no cover charge.
